Donations

Everything we do starts with you and your kind support. The funds raised from patients, their families, businesses, philanthropic individuals, community groups and charitable trusts and foundations are crucial in enhancing the care and services Dorset County Hospital provide. Donations can be made in a variety of ways, from a one-off gift, a monthly donation or leaving a lasting legacy with a Gift in your Will. Find out more about the best way for you to support us below.

By setting up a regular donation today you can help make a real difference to the ongoing care of patients and their families. By choosing to give a regular monthly donation, you will be helping us to plan ahead and make long-term improvements in our hospital because we know we can count on your longer-term support. Making a one-off donation is a fantastic way to improve the lives of patients and families, allowing you to choose the area you’d like to donate to using a quick and easy donation form here.

Giving a gift in Memory of a loved one is a powerful and meaningful way to support your local hospital. Whether this is a regular gift, a one-off amount, or donations in lieu of flowers at a funeral, we hope that doing something positive for the benefit of patients and staff at your local hospital will offer some level of comfort during times of grieving the loss of a loved one. Read more about leaving an In Memory donation here.

Gifts in Wills enable supporters to leave a lasting gift and legacy to your local hospital, and allow us to plan ahead for the future. We also run a Free Will Service, which invites  you to make or amend your Will for free, with a request that you consider leaving a gift to DCH Charity. To find out more about leaving your legacy, the impact it will have and how to sign up to the Free Will Service, click here.

Becoming a major donor to DCH Charity offers a unique and rewarding opportunity for you to provide on-going support to enhance patient care and staff wellbeing. Some of our projects, such as building new facilities or investing in new state-of-the-art equipment require larger, long-term investments. The philanthropic support we receive is hugely valued and can make a big difference to the care Dorset County Hospital is able to provide.

We are committed to delivering a tailored supporter experience that aligns with your own personal values. We would be delighted to speak with you, at your convenience to understand your specific areas of interest. We take pride in showing you the difference your donation has made, and will make every day – through regular updates, and visits to the hospital to meet with teams and share progress of how your donation is improving care.

If you’d like to find out more, please contact Head of Charity, Simon Pearson, by email simon.parson@dchft.nhs.uk, or call 01305 253470.
