Dorset Sunflower Trail supporting Appeal

The Sunflower Trail at Maiden Castle Farm in Dorchester has returned for 2026, offering a fantastic spectacle of yellow sunflowers and a great day out for the local community and visitors to Dorset alike. This year, Hazel Hoskin and her team are aiming to reach a fantastic £100,000 in total fundraising, after five years of donating proceeds from the Sunflower Trail to Dorset County Hospital. Last year this event raised £15,000 which was donated to the Emergency and Critical Care Appeal, taking their total to over £78,000 raised so far.

Tickets are £6 per adult, free for children under 5. It is open every day until Sunday 16th August from 11am with the last entry at 4pm. Parking is free next to the field, and there’s lots of activities, some local food and gifts and toilets onsite. Every ticket sold helps raise funds for the Emergency and Critical Care Appeal.

The £2.5 million Appeal will help to fund equipment and facilities beyond the NHS budget for the new Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit currently under construction at Dorset County Hospital. The project is funded by the Government’s New Hospital programme (NHP) and is due to open in 2027.

Book your tickets today. We look forward to seeing you there!
