Stage 1
Dorset County Hospital Charity tries to resolve the complaint
Any complaints can be raised with Dorset County Hospital Charity (DCH Charity)
How to complain: Register the complaint with DCH Charity (in writing by post, by email, or by phone) within three months of the incident occurring.

Complaint is made: We will acknowledge the complaint in writing within 72 hours. Please note: DCH Charity strives to consider and resolve all complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible. Although, during the Covid-19 pandemic it may not always be possible to meet the timescales set out, we will ensure that you are kept up to date and explain the reasons for the time taken.
When the investigation is completed: We will tell you of the outcome of the investigation in writing.
Stage 2
The Chair, Charitable Funds Committee, Patient Advice and Liaison Service Manager tries to resolve the complaint
If the outcome is not seen as satisfactory: you should then contact the charity again. A copy of the reply letter will be sent to Chair, Charitable Funds Committee and Patient Advice and Liaison Service Manager.
They will investigate the complaint and work with DCH Charity and yourself to try to resolve the problem.
The Chairman will write to you within 25 days stating whether the complaint is upheld or not, with a description of what action will be taken as a result of the complaint.
If the outcome is still not seen as satisfactory: You can escalate the complaint by raising you concerns with The Fundraising Regulator within two months of receiving DCH Charity’s final response.
