The Cardiac Unit has two cardiac intervention laboratories and a non-invasive cardiology service where echocardiograms (ultrasound of the heart) are carried out, heart recorders are fitted, ECGs are performed and pacemakers are followed up.
We have nurse specialists in Heart failure, arrhythmia and chest pain. There is dedicated cardiac ward in the hospital which has a four-bedded coronary care unit within it. We have six Cardiologists who provide seven-day ward rounds.
