Martin and Philippa Clunes and the Buckham Fair Committee came for a site tour of the new Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit which is currently under construction at DCH on Tuesday 10th March.
The committee visited the current Emergency and Critical Care Departments at DCH to understand from clinical staff the need for more space, equipment and facilities to enable them to deliver the very best care possible for local people.
They were also taken on a tour of the Tilbury Douglas Construction site led by the Project Director, Gareth Drake. They were shown where the new departments will be situated, where the helipad will be installed and the location facilities funded by the DCH Charity will go, such as the winter garden for the Critical Care Unit.
The Buckham Fair Committee have generously offered to donate proceeds from this year’s event to the Emergency and Critical Care Appeal. Tickets are now on sale on their website here.
